Founded in 1999, Strathy Road Animal Clinic has been serving the Cobourg area for over 20 years. We would like to extend our thanks to the community for their continued support, and we look forward to caring for your four legged family members.
Meet the Team
Chris Tummon, DVM
Since growing up on a dairy farm in the Quinte area with his two labs, Chris has always enjoyed being around creatures great and small. After graduating from OVC in Guelph, he has spent many years practicing all over Ontario, gaining knowledge and helping large, small and even exotic pets.
After spending some time working with wonderful clients, staff and charitable organizations at Strathy Road Animal Clinic, Dr. Tummon realized that it was a prefect place to be. After a smooth transition he has became the owner and operator of Strathy Road Animal Clinic and is looking forward to helping and caring for all of his four legged friends.
Decima Osmond, Office Manager
Anyone who is a long time client will recognize Decima. She has been with Strathy Road Animal clinic for 20 years and has been in the field for over 30 years!
After graduating from the Animal Care program she went to work at Ganaraska Holstein farms working for Dr. Warren. Decima later moved to the Boston area. There she worked in her first veterinary clinic and over the next few years worked in various small animal clinics.
Decima is involved with animal rescue groups and is a voice for BSL (Breed Specific Legislation.) She shares her home with two rescue cats and a rescue dog. William Wallace is a Papillion who was born at the clinic with a cleft pallet.
She has a passion for kayaking, nature and palliative care for people and pets. Decima has worked in Hospice for six years, but has taken a break for now to spend time with her four grandchildren.
Cathryn Taylor, RVT
Growing up Cathryn always had pets in her house and knew from young age she wanted to work with animals. Cathryn took the animal care program at Durham College and decided that she wanted to further her career and so took the Veterinary Technology program at Ridgetown College. In 2017 Cathryn graduated and achieved her RVT status. Outside of work Cathryn and her husband have two little ones, Madi and Lucas, and a basset hound named Bentley who keep them on the go.
Happy Retirement to the clinic’s founder, Dr. Matthew Wyszynski!
